  • Part 3 - Five speakers - five short monologues requiring a selection of the correct option from a list.
  • Part 4 - Multiple choice - a conversation between two or more people with six multiple choice questions with three options in each question.

Use of English

  • Multiple choice cloze - text with twelve spaces and twelve multiple choice items.
  • Open cloze - text containing twelve gaps.
  • Word formation - a text with ten spaces and a word at the end of the line with a space, students use a form of the word to complete the space.
  • Key word transformation - completion - eight separate questions each with a lead-in sentence and a gapped second sentence to be completed with two to five words one of which is a given ‘key word'.
